Halway House Inn

We are called The Halfway as the stream at the rear of the premises once marked the border between Devon and Cornwall and we are now the central point at which the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand meet.

'Cornwall's Forgotten Corner' is the local's name for the Rame Peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty, quiet secluded beaches, magnificent scenery and spectacular walks from Mount Edgcumbe to Penlee Point and Rame Head. The Halfway House Inn is located within close proximity to Plymouth and HMS Raleigh.

The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, twinned with Porspoder in France, are the perfect base for the discerning tourist or holidaymaker. These historic villages are unspoilt by time and here you will find colour washed old cottages, narrow streets, pubs, restaurants and shops catering to all your needs. The Halfway House Inn is ideally situated for exploring the area surrounding Cawsand Bay, used for centuries as a safe harbour. It offers the perfect place to drop anchor and is popular for swimming, windsurfing, waterskiing, sailing or just lazing around on the beaches.

Remember, this is the 'Forgotten Corner' - an oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of crowds. Whatever your interest, we're sure you'll find your stay an unforgettable experience.
